"THE TIME OF THE GUITAR" International Composer Competition 2025, Moscow

The Guitar Time International Competition and Festival of Guitarists and Composers dates back to 2019 and includes a classical guitar competition, a composer competition and a festival program. Every year, the best compositions by guitar composers are selected and included in the mandatory program of the contestants, expanding and updating the professional repertoire of guitarists. The works of the winners of the competition will be published by the publishing house "Music".

Over 700 guitarists and composers from 20 countries have participated in the festival during its existence. The jury and artists were such famous guitarists as Stefan Rak (Czech Republic), Johan Fostier (Belgium), Mauricio Diaz Alvarez (Mexico), Marco Del Greco (Italy), Aishegul Koca (Turkey), Pavel Kukhta (Belarus), Daniel Bolshoy (Canada), Roman Smirnov (Israel), Dimitris Regginos (Cyprus), Russian guitarists Dmitry Illarionov, Dmitry Borodaev, Sergey Rudnev, Evgeny Finkelstein, Anton Baranov, Roman Zorkin, Victoria Naletova, Gleb Okunev (flamenco guitar), conductors David Gomez Ramirez (Spain), Jeremy Walker (Great Britain), Russian composers Vladislav Agafonnikov, Valery Kikta, Igor Rekhin, Harry Wessman (Finland), Andrea Scalmana (Italy) and many others. 

The sixth International Guitar Time Composer Competition will be held from March 01 to April 30, 2025 in Moscow in a remote format. 

The organizer of the Guitar Time contest-festival is the Moscow International Guitar Art Association. 

The artistic director is Dmitry Borodaev, President of the Moscow International Association of Guitar Art, associate professor at the Tchaikovsky Moscow State Conservatory, winner of the Moscow Government Prize, guitarist, composer and conductor.
