VII International Composer Competition «The Time of the Guitar» will be held from March 1st to April 30th, 2026 in Moscow.
The jury consists of famous composers and guitarists. The judging panel will be headed by Vladislav Agafonnikov, People's Artist of Russia, Professor at the Tchaikovsky Moscow State Conservatory.
The works of the winners will be published and included in the program of the VII The International competition-festival of guitarists «The Time of the Guitar» in November 2026 in Moscow.
Applications for the competition will be accepted until April 15, 2026 on the website mmagi.ru

About the festival.
«The Time of the Guitar» International Guitar Competition and Festival dates back to 2019 and includes a classical guitar competition, a composer competition and a festival program. This is the only international guitar festival in Russia, where the best works by contemporary composers are selected annually, published in a music publishing house and included in the festival program, contributing to the renewal of the professional repertoire of guitarists.
Over 700 performers and composers from 22 countries have participated in the festival.
